We had a vision of our dream home. We had spoken to a few builders in town & no one was willing to build the home that we had our hearts set on.  Fortunately we discovered Ricky from Comfort Homes QLD in Bundaberg.

After discussions with Ricky we immediately knew that he & his team were going to be the builders for us. 

From the very start of our project, the professionalism of this company was simply amazing.  You actually liase with the person who, with his own hands, will build your home instead of a salesperson in a display home. 

Ricky is a true tradesman who knows his trade & the right way is the only way he constructs your home.  Nothing ever was an issue we just had to ask & it was done.

Often I would liaise with his lovely wife Amanda on items for the home & she would also keep me on the right theme (ours being a Hamptons Design). Ricky also has lots of flare & knowledge of the latest in building materials, he is only too happy to help if required.

Ricky & Amanda are excellent with communication & all the correct paperwork & procedures were always in place.  We were always made aware of what was happening with the timeframe of our build.  Our home was also completed on time.

The standard of workmanship in our home is on show for everyone to see & we have had lots of comments about this from friends who are in the trade saying that they cannot find a fault anywhere in the home.

Pricing on our home was very competitive with other quotes that we received, & in one case Comfort Homes was $110,000 cheaper, but this was not the reason we chose them.  Ricky clearly puts his heart & soul into the build & you will not be sorry if you choose Comfort Homes for your next build.

After travelling in our caravan for 9 years we decided to base ourselves at Elliott Heads and build our beach theme house on our block of land.  We had no experience with builders in the Bundaberg area, but had specific ideas on what we required.  After visiting a number of different display homes, we became increasingly frustrated.  We found that most builders were only interested in modifying their existing designs and were not listening to what we wanted, including what our budget was. 

This all changed when we spoke to Ricky from Comfort Homes, who came highly recommended from our friends at Bargara, who had also used him to build their home.  Ricky not only listened to us but put forward some additional suggestions that led to the most cost effective build.  From our original requirements and a rough sketch, he produced the perfect final plans.  We were thrilled with the build cost which was under our budget, and even more so when the home was completed well ahead of the contract time and NO extra hidden costs.  I am sure the early completion is mainly die to Ricky's organisational skills and the quality of the tradesmen he uses. 

It is very rare that you will find a principal builder who is hands on, not only using the tools but personally overseeing the construction at every stage.  Something else we were very impressed with was that Ricky personally maintained a very clean building site.  The standard of construction and the enthusiasm of all the tradesmen was of a very high standard and the relationship was first class.  They all worked well together and helped each other if required.  Ricky was very flexible during the construction and followed up all phases to ensure the scheduled dates were adhered to.  A special thanks also to Amanda, who not only looked after all the accounting issues and paperwork, but gave us some very good design suggestions.

If you are looking for a true Custom Builder rather than a project builder, then we believe using Ricky and his team at Comfort Homes is the only choice you should make!

Building a new home is a daunting task to take on, and whether it is your first home or, as in my case, my thirteenth, selecting the right Builder is critical.  Right from when I bought my corner block, the challenge of the floor plan and roof design was evident, with Council boundary set back and building height restrictions to keep in mind.  The advantage of having Ricky build my home for me was that he was involved right from the design stage and was instrumental in making sure the unusual roof design came together and worked structurally and aesthetically, while really complimenting the street scape.  His direct involvement in all the construction from beginning to end made the experience a pleasure.  Ricky kept me informed of the progress and made sure I was satisfied with each stage and the finished product.  He is really efficient with his scheduling and co-ordination of the construction and that meant my new home was completed on time and with no delays.  The workmanship in my new home reflects Ricky’s commitment to being a high quality Builder and you can tell he loves his work.  This is the second home Ricky has built for me in the past three years, and I might just add, my previous home was also a QMBA Award Winning Home too.
